Laura Redd began her career in 1989 in computer
science & programming - installing computer systems
for IBM to law firms and CPA's. She then taught the
accounting staff & executives how to use the new
systems. After three years, Laura married a military
man and she was off to Germany. Next came two
bumps in the road, the Gulf War & her baby. Ten
months later, Laura packed her house and new
daughter and joined her husband in Germany.
Laura Redd found herself living in Germany in 1991
with a 3 month old daughter, a husband who was in
the field on training missions and the desire to follow
her passion - Interior Design. Laura took charge of
her life and made it happen. After returning to the
States in 1993 with her family, Laura secured an
internship with Interiors by Royce in Raleigh, NC.
Starting at the bottom, Laura learned from experience
and the desire to create a project that reflected the
client's vision.
Ten years later, Laura Redd has her own company - Laura Redd Interiors -
specializing in affordable custom window treatments, blinds and shutters,
whole room plans, and fun & funky accessories that are unique to each
