Bring on Fall!

It’s hard to believe it is almost the end of October. For many, Halloween ushers in the holiday season. Halloween leads straight to Thanksgiving, and Christmas is then less than a month away!

Let’s take our time bringing in fall. Pumpkins, mums, and a few scary things if you go that route. I love the rich colors of fall, including coppers, burgundy, teal, and of course, yellow. These colors were represented at the High Point furniture market, so here's an insider tip: look for the cool colors to fade away and allow the warm rich colors to surface. Plaids are big this year and that includes décor. Add a glen plaid or a buffalo check to a room, and the rich feel of fall springs to life.

Change out your summer pillows for the rich fall colors and add warmth with furry throws to your sofa and end of your bed. Simple and easy things can help you to shift gears and feel the coziness of fall.

Keep some small Halloween pumpkins and hollow them out for a fun table décor item. Kids will love to help, and adding some pretty flowers, colorful greenery, and votives can make the perfect centerpiece for Thanksgiving.

By introducing fall early, you will enjoy the season longer. Give your décor life and longevity by incorporating pieces throughout the season and embrace the cool winds of fall by warming up your space.
